The artist behind the work

Meet Lisa

Lisa Kuhlmann is a painter drawn to the emotional lives of people, animals, and the world around her. Working across portraiture, figures, abstraction, and commissioned pieces, she paints instinctively and honestly. Some works are quiet, others confrontational, but each begins with a desire to make an internal experience visible.

“Painting is the best way that I have found to share the gut raw emotions that life’s experiences bring.”
